Technical Committee Vision Retrospective

In early 2017, the Technical Committee came together to compose a vision what 2019 might look like for the OpenStack community. It consisted of four central themes that were written as if a person was looking back over the prior two years. This had two purposes. The first being to help people have a common vision of the future by which individual direction could be guaged against. The second being so that the community uses a common set of words when discussing, planning, or acting to try and implement something inline with the overall vision of the future.

It has been a year and a half since that vision was written, and the Summit it speaks of is figuratively around the corner in April 2019. As such, it seems appropriate to have a retrospective prior to the next vision being created.

Of course, visions are supposed to be scary! But fear not, this will be easy!

- What went well?

- What needs improvement?

- What should the next steps be?

What can I expect to learn?

This session will provide feedback to the Technical Committee to help guide future vision exercises and the actions taken to implement visions.
