The Must-Attend

Open Infrastructure Event

The open infrastructure landscape is changing, and so is the Summit. Now that users are integrating dozens of open source tools into a modern stack that reaches well beyond the scope of OpenStack, we’re re-organizing the event to focus on specific problem domains like container infrastructure, edge computing and CI/CD and we are focusing on the hard work of integrating all of these tools developed in disparate communities. This is the essential work of 2018 and beyond, to ensure that open infrastructure is truly a viable path for operators.

Ops: Openstack in Containers

https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/AUS-ops-Containers

The Ops Meetup, organized by the User Committee is a track comprised of collaborative working sessions for people who are operating OpenStack clouds (and contributors who want to hear from them). The purpose is to share knowledge and best practices among cloud operators, as well as provide feedback based on experience running OpenStack. There will be no formal presentations, and a moderate level of knowledge around running OpenStack is assumed. If you're just starting out, the Operations Track of the conference will be much more friendly!
