I18n Workshop: Translation Processes and Tools

I18n team is responsible to make OpenStack accessible to people of all language backgrounds. We translate OpenStack dashboard and OpenStack documents into different languages. We have processes to manage translation related activities, e.g. glossary, translation memory, review, translation check and etc. We have tools to support these processes, e.g. use Zanata and automation jobs.

In this session, we want to collect feedback from translators and evaluate the inconveniences of current translation tools and translation processes. We will have translators and tool developers together and discuss about how to improve in the future.

The workshop agenda and discussions will be tracked here: https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/austin-i18n-workshop.

What can I expect to learn?

People who contribute translations to OpenStack can join the session and give the feedback. Translation tool maintainers and developers can discuss the improvements.
