SQL databases require updating the schema to store new data structures, however many DDL operations lock the tables. How to change the schema while keeping your services online? What are the alternatives?


What can I expect to learn?

We want to present ideas with examples from Nova, Cinder, Neutron, Keystone and other projects. Compare those approaches and present our test results from different deployment configurations and environments.
