A few common questions about the event...

What is happening the week of April 16-20, 2012?

One week, two OpenStack events:

  1. For OpenStack Contributors: gather to plan the next release at the Design Summit, April 16-18. (Registration code required)
  2. For Everyone: attend the OpenStack Conference, April 19 & 20. The conference will have speakers, panels, and sessions of interest our entire community of users, vendors, CIOs, researchers, and developers.

Which event should you attend?

Everyone: If you are an OpenStack user, provider, researcher, or enthusiast, you'll want to attend the OpenStack Conference held April 19 & 20th. This is the main event and it includes keynotes, panel sessions, and vendor exhibitors who can help you get the most out of OpenStack.

Developers: If you are an active contributor in the OpenStack community, you should receive an email invitation to attend the Design Summit happening right before the conference (April 16-18th). The Design Summit is kept intentionally small so that we can have productive working sessions as we discuss and plan for development on the next release of OpenStack.

How much does it cost?

  1. A standard pass to the OpenStack Conferenc is: $500
  2. Discount: Free admission to the Design Summit and Conference is available for OpenStack Contributors with a registration code.
  3. Speakers and sponsors may receive codes for free registration. Please contact us.
