In this talk the speaker will cover the following:
- How the Designate components fit together
- How to deploy Designate in a HA configuration
- How to deploy Designate in a secure configuration
- How to ensure you have a good Disaster Recovery option setup and running for Designate
- What Server Pools are, and how they can be used
- How you can deploy a globally distributed Designate data plane
- How Designate allows secure end user mangement of Reverse DNS for Floating IPs
All of the above will be demonstrated on a running system, and examples for configuration of the system examained.
Graham Hayes is the PTL for the Designate project, and has run production Designate installs in Public Clouds, and packaged Designate for use in on premises private / hybrid clouds.

Graham worked previously as part of the DNSaaS team in HP Helion, and the DNSaaS team in HP Public Cloud before that.
