Tracing the life of a packet with Kata Containers

The session attempts to discover the networking aspect of KataContainers. This will be a hands-on session
covering a basic installation followed by the tracing of network packets between pods ( for e.g east-west and north-south traffic) . It would observe iptables, tap traces, tcpdumps etc to understand overall setup and will aim to understand the working of some of the important features ( hypervisor isolation, integration with K8, multi-queue etc).

What can I expect to learn?

It is crucial to understand the path a packet takes in any network software. The hands-on session attempts to develop that understanding. Kata Containers is a relatively new project and has a strong use-case(combining the best of VM, Containers), so gaining an early understanding of its nuts and bolts will promote developers, testers and app developers to participate in its development, testing and usage respectively.
