Cisco - Deploying and Operating an NFV Cloud

SPs & Telcos are transforming their businesses driven by virtualization (NFV). Virtualization is enabling Cisco customers to expand into new markets while gaining efficiencies in their existing businesses. We expect 2017ā€“2018 to be the years of broader adoption of NFV driven by a growing ecosystem around VNF interoperability, multi-cloud, service performance, APIs, etc.

Cisco is partnering with top tier SP/Telco customers to help them be successful in their NFV journey. Having a common infrastructure to run all of their workloads (Telco and IT) is a fundamental desire that drives lower TCO. At the same time, a common infrastructure needs to be flexible yet robust to deploy a variety of services. We will share key customer experiences highlighting the need to fully understand some of the tradeoffs of operationalizing a highly secure, available, and performant cloud based on common infrastructure.
