The partnership of Betfair, Redhat and Nuage Networks present the journey from RFP to Production for Betfair's prive cloud. This 12 month programme has delivered a fully automated, scalable, resillient OpenStack solution.
Betfair's vision was to deliver an API-driven infrastructure encompassing compute, storage, network and application delivery. This had to be capable of handling the high transactional load of Betfair's day-to-day operations (circa 2.7Bn API calls, 120M daily transactions).
This presentation, delivered by all three partners, walks you through the stages of the programme - from benefits requirements, vendor selection, project design and implementation.
This presentation will be of great use to anyone considering, or having recently started their own OpenStack implementation with a view of their next generation infrastructure as code.
This is a prime chance to benefit from the lessons learnt and overall experience from a large, innovative project delivering a significant advantage in capability. Betfair operates a large estate and at considerable scale - as such the project was technically challenging and should provide interest to any attendees.
