EasyStack Elected as OpenStack Foundation Gold Member – Chinese Startup Steps onto the World Stage

(Austin, Texas) At the recently concluded Austin OpenStack Summit, EasyStack was announced by the OpenStack Foundation’s Board of Directors to have been elected as the Foundation’s newest Gold Member. This is not only a major decision by the Foundation, but also a statement to the rapid strengthening of OpenStack in China, during which EasyStack has become one of the second batch of Chinese companies since Huawei to achieve Gold Member status.

In terms of community contribution, EasyStack was outstanding in the Mitaka Release – achieving top-10 ranking worldwide in core project code contribution; being one of only two startups and one of only two Chinese companies in that list. Its contribution to other projects have also been tremendous, acquiring top rankings worldwide while holding the top spot among Chinese startups.

There’s only 24 Gold Member seats in the OpenStack Foundation, eight of which will be elected to enter the Foundation’s Board of Directors to represent all Gold Members, having greater right of voice and responsibility in OpenStack’s direction of development
