Chet Luther is Principal Engineer at Zenoss, Inc. He is focused on ZenPack extensions as well as architecture, deployment and supportability of large-scale Zenoss installations. He has over 15 years of experience in networking, network security, UNIX system administration and software development. Previously he worked at RCN Corporation, an early "triple-play" cable provider, where he managed networking, servers and applications across customer and corporate networks.
Over the last five years Chet has deployed, or assisted in the deployment of over 100 production Zenoss systems ranging from 500 to 30,000 monitored devices. In the process he has become the leading expert in installation, scale and upgrade issues. He has also contributed to many of Zenoss' ZenPacks including Linux, OpenStack, XenServer, CloudStack, oVirt, and many others.
