Salman Asadullah is a Distinguished Engineer and CTO of Americas Partners Organization at Cisco who also serves as co-chair and advisor for many notable industry organizations including IPv6 Forum Fellow and Broadband Forum Ambassador. As a recognized expert within Cisco and the industry, Salman has been working on large-scale SP, Enterprise and Data Center and Cloud networks and technologies for over two decades. Salman is a frequent speaker at key industry events and conferences and represents Cisco in industry panel discussions and technical platforms as an advisor. Salman is also a returning top rated speaker at Cisco's user conference, CiscoLive.
Salman influences technology directions and decisions with Cisco business units, partners, customers and Internet community at large. Salman is a co-author and contributor of multiple patents and standardization activities at IETF, BBF, IPv6 Forum, SCTE, Cablelabs, ETSI NFV and ONF. Salman has published several technical articles, white papers, as well as three Internetworking books, Deploying IPv6 in Broadband Access Networks, PDIO of the IPT Networks, and Cisco CCIE Fundamentals: Network Design & Case Study.
Salman has worked in various capacities for Cisco, from Services, Engineering, to Field organizations. In recent years Salman has been working on key technology transitions such as Cloud, DevOps, SDN and NFV, their standardization, and adoption and enablement among Cisco partners and customers.
Salman is a veteran Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kansas.
