Facilitating deployment with Metaswitch virtual network functions, and Project Calico virtual networking
Andy is general manager of Metaswitch's networking business, having previously served in a wide range of roles within the company including engineering, marketing, and business development. He established the Project Calico team based on a recognition that there was a fundamentally simpler way to solve the virtual network problem, based on pure layer 3 routing with fine-grained policy - and that Metaswitch had the right set of skills and technology to create that solution. He holds masters degrees in mathematics, philosophy, software engineering, and business, and lives in Berkeley, California with his wife, 2 kids, 2 cats and 2 turtles.
