Bio

Jeroen van Bemmel is a member of the New Production Introduction engineering team of Nuage Networks, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent delivering a next generation SDN platform.

He travels around the world to help customers deploy OpenStack with a focus on advanced networking configurations. Before his current position, Jeroen worked at Bell Labs where he participated in many research projects developing new software solutions for a wide variety of problems.

He has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, 15 years of experience working in telecom and IT networking, and holds over 25 patents in several areas including networking and security. He also has a history of contributing to Open Source projects, most notably the JAIN SIP project.

 

He specializes in cloud applications with hands-on automation and networking for Docker containers, and is known for his ability to quickly build prototypes to demonstrate new ideas and concepts
