Xiangyu Li

Xiangyu Li comes from China Mobile Cloud Centre and she has been working here for 9 years. She served as the leader of the General Computing Product Group of the computing product department, taking responsibility for the R&D of the OpenStack team. Now she is a researcher in the field of elastic computing scheduling. ECloud has become the fastest-growing public cloud in China with the highest revenue growth rate in the past several years. As a member of the China Mobile Public Cloud architecture team, she participated in multi-phase projects of the ECloud and could be considered as the main contributor for guiding ECloud to join the Million Core Club. Xiangyu Li has considerable rich work experience in the development and operation of hyperscale public clouds. The OpenStack R&D team which she is leading has achieve multiple great achievements, implementing the scheduling and concurrency optimization for hyperscale clusters carrying more than 100,000 servers. With this optimization, the delivery of 5 thousand cloud hosts could be completed in several minutes. Xiangyu Li is also very active to join community events. She is a frequenter in OpenInfra Summit, China Day and Strategy Day activities. Her team has published dozens of speeches in OpenStack-related community activities, sharing China Mobile's practical and innovation experience in OpenStack.

Xiangyu Li has been the gold director of the OpenInfra Community Board since 2023, and she is actively involved in various strategic decisions of the community. She has long been engaged in technology architecture and product operation research in China Mobile Cloud, which has the fastest revenue growth rate in China. She is also a member of the OpenInfra Asia Technology Advisory Committee, and has a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by openinfra's development in the Asia.

We also play a key role in resource allocation, securing funding and directing resources to support critical projects and infrastructure. Furthermore, we manage risks and make strategic decisions that guide OpenInfra through evolving market dynamics. By promoting OpenInfra's brand and values, we attract new contributors and users, expanding the community's reach and impact. Ultimately, the Board's role is to ensure OpenInfra's sustainability and growth, driving the adoption of open source cloud solutions globally.
As a member of OpenInfra community, Xiangyu Li believes the top priority over the next year should be to accelerate the adoption and integration of OpenInfra technologies in diverse industries and use cases.
