Jarek Miszczyk is the Cloud Systems Architect at Mayo Clinic. He is located in Rochester, Minnesota. Jarek is responsible for design and implementation of a hybrid cloud at Mayo. He focuses on solution patterns, automation, and orchestration.
Previously at IBM, he led the activities of software architects, technical and project management teams to ensure the successful exploitation of OpenStack in IBM Cloud solutions. He also provided consulting services to independent software vendors (ISVs), large IBM clients and other IBM organizations on issues related to virtualization and Cloud Computing. He is the leading author of several popular IBM Redbooks® on cloud computing and databases. Jarek has over 20 years of experience in the computer field.
His areas of expertise include multi-tier application architectures (J2EE, .Net), Cloud Computing (OpenStack, eucalyptus, PowerVC), as well as DB2.
