**Co-founder and CEO** Alan Gin co-founded ZeroNines® aka ZeroDown® Software, in May 2000 to implement and deploy the Always Available™ operating system of the new millennium. Mr. Gin led a virtual team as the Chief Architect, developing the ZeroNines® Architecture. Prior to ZeroNines, Alan was the vice president of the enterprise solutions group of Hitachi Data Systems where he created the Solutions Factory to program and product manage the launch of its first commercial Storage Area Network, *SANSTORM *to customers in seven countries with resounding success. Before that, as vice president and managing director of consulting service for StorageTek (Sun/Oracle), he designed a new business model in support of global consulting practices and co-developed the Virtual Business Continuity model in support of Knowledge Management engagements. As senior program manager at AT&T Global Information Solutions, Alan was the principle author for their Network Architecture Consulting Practice in the Americas, and created and led the deployment of GlobalINS, the firm’s worldwide network services delivery method. While Alan was director of Wang Laboratories Professional Services, he was instrumental in helping clients migrate legacy systems to client/server platforms. Earlier in his career, he was senior director of Coopers and Lybrand's (PwC) Microcomputer Advisory Services group, which served as the national resource for strategic Business Process Reengineering projects for many Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Gin attended Hawaii Pacific College from 1974 to 1978 in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. A noted thought leader in the industry, Alan has lectured around the world, co-authored manuals, playbooks and whitepapers and conducted classes on designing and auditing networks, client-server strategies and implementing financial systems. He is listed in Who’s Who in the computer industry for his experience in designing and implementing mission critical financial applications on controlled global area networks and holds multiple patents and patents pending on High Availability Systems Architectures. He is also currently enjoying his mentoring program in Silicon Valley.
