Do Containers Become First Class Citizens in the Data Center? - Moderated by Cliff Grossner, Ph.D. IHS

Containers quickly rose in popularity among developers with standardization driving portability, and have led to new micro-segmented software architectures providing agility for solving large distributed computing tasks, such as big data analytics or motion picture rendering. What is the proper role for containers in the data center today? Do they become peers with virtual machines and bare metal computing and managed by the same platforms? Will they be deployed on all devices, such as servers, network adapter cards, network devices, etc? This panel will discuss the role containers will assume in the data center and how this important technology integrates with existing infrastructure in 2016 and beyond.

What can I expect to learn?

Attendees will be able to hear from the leading container experts in one sitting and understand how the role of containers in enterprise IT architecture so that they can make decisions about their own architectures going forward.
