Bio

Adam Dunstan is the Vice President of SDN/NFV Engineering at CenturyLink.  He leads the development engineering team responsible for delivering Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure and services.  Before CenturyLink acquired the networking assets from Active Broadband Networks in 2016, Dunstan served as the company’s president and CEO where he led a team that developed leading cable OSS software and SDN/NFV access technology. Prior to Active Broadband Networks, Dunstan was principal of a consulting practice that provided services to cable system operators. He was also vice president of business development and vice president of technology at Avici Systems where he was instrumental in the development and deployment of the world's first terabit, carrier-class router. While there, he also served as chairman, president and vice president of the Optical Internetworking Forum. An acknowledged expert in the networking and telecommunications industries, Dunstan has invented patented routing technology and has served as an advisor to the FCC.
