Cloud Computing, Networking, SDN, SmartNIC, DPU, Linux.

Bio
LIU Yulong currently works at China Unicom Cloud for research, development and management for a team of Cloud Networking. He has been engaged in Cloud Computing for more than ten years. He is proficient in the core components of OpenStack, and has a deep understanding of the architecture of Nova and Neutron with the underlying technologies, such as Openvswitch, OpenFlow, SDN, Linux Networking, Libvirt and Qemu/kvm. His past work experience in several famous public clouds has enabled him to have a deep construction of cloud technologies, which also shows his love for Cloud Computing. Since 2019, he has become the core developer of OpenStack Neutron. At present, his main work and research fields are focused on cloud networking, SDN, SmartNIC, DPU and hardware offloading.

The OpenInfra Foundation is the most active open source infrastructure community in the world, developers from anywhere can contribute to the community projects. I am also a developer, and have contributed code, reviewed code, submitted bugs, and submitted BP in the community.

In 2023, I served as the Gold Director of the OpenInfra Foundation, witnessing the changes in the community in Asia and Europe, and participating in the establishment of the Asia Office.

Making sustainable development strategies, actively embrace change, and receive positive feedback from both enterprises and individuals. Acting as a bridge, organize regional level summits to allow developers to have face-to-face communication and promote global technology sharing.

Promote the improvement of the discourse power of all participants, average the control of individual companies over the development of community projects, and be more open to positive feedback from global enterprises, avoiding the saying of one company in deciding a project directions. The iterative development of the community, continuously meeting the needs of enterprise production, continuously improving and enhancing project capabilities, is what the community should further promote.
