NetApp: Unleash Docker with Native Cinder Integration

Cinder has seen explosive growth offering over 70 backend storage providers, but did you know that it's actually pretty simple to use Cinder to provide your Block Storage orchestration for Docker?

We will introduce some of the current functionality in the Docker Volumes API as well as take a look at a number of available options.  We’ll look at how you can use Cinder to bring enhanced features to Docker volume, and an easier path to Persistent Block storage in containers than you thought.

Learn how you can use your existing Cinder environment and introduce a Native Docker Cinder plugin and how folks are already using this great combination today. We will have a demo, showing multiple storage devices including SolidFire, NetApp and the Cinder reference architecture.

Key Takeaways:

Cinder as a stand-alone storage provider.

Use Cinder and a variety of storage in your Container environment.

Use Cinder to provide snapshots, clones and other services to Docker.
