Mistral: Mistral and StackStorm
In this session, we explain how Mistral and StackStorm complement each other, help developers and operators decide when to use one or another, and discuss with the community the most synergetic path forward.

StackStorm adds to Mistral “the before” and “the after”. The “Before” is the concept of sensors that turn arbitrary events into “triggers”, and a rule engine that maps this “triggers” to the workflows.

The “After” is a powerful, dynamic “Action” framework, that turns any script into an action “on the fly” with just few lines of meta data, and over 2,000 actions on the community. This “before an after” turns Mistral into an event driven automation platform, IFTTT for operations, as StackStorm is often called. StackStorm community is the largest users of Mistral workflows.

Presented by Dmitri Zimine, who contributed to the directions of both projects from the very origin.
