How China Telco Carriers think of Edge Computing?

On the eve of 5G and digital transformation, traditional communications network architectures are under great pressure to process massive edge data. Meanwhile, innovative applications such as big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) also require stronger support at network edges.

The 3 giant Chinese telecom operators, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom actively promote the exploration and practice of edge computing based on their own business characteristics, in preparation for the upcoming 5G era.

We would like to invite representatives from these operations to tell their view and thought about coming edge computing/5G era and share some practise in this area, like StarlingX evaluation and POCs.

What can I expect to learn?

On the eve of 5G and digital transformation, China Telco Carriers are speeding their exploration and real deployment pratise. You will have the opportunity to learn that how they think of edge computing and use cases with requirements.  What the latest status and progress from them each are on edge computing and how they think OSF open source project would help them, like StarlingX.
