Mr. Matthias Machowinski is a Senior Research Director of Enterprise Networks and Video within the IHS Technology group.

He joined IHS in December 2014, when IHS acquired Infonetics Research—a  premier global communications technology market research firm. As a directing analyst for Infonetics, he led the enterprise networks and video research unit. He has 15 years of experience as a telecom/datacom industry analyst. His specialties include data and communications technologies used by small/medium businesses, enterprises and public sector organizations. He focuses on emerging network use cases, network technologies, architecture adoption rates, wired/wireless convergence, the effects of ICT downtime and end-user spending trends. He authors an industry-unique, data-driven scorecard that integrates vendor performance and buyer feedback to objectively determine vendors' position in the marketplace. A consultant, speaker and thought leader, he is frequently quoted in the press, including The Wall Street Journal, Money, Network World and The Register. Mr. Machowinski holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bemidji State University, Minnesota, US.
