It's An Open Source World As We Know It! How Comcast Is Embracing Open-Source and OpenStack Adoption - THIS SESSION IS REPEATED FROM MONDAY

PLEASE NOTE:  THIS SESSION IS A REPEAT.

Are enterprise companies adopting open source? Behind open source, there is a strong culture, and sometimes in some organizations debates on whether or not to use it, or contribute to it, can rise. Open source strikes a challenge for people to approach things in an innovative way, look for solutions that are outside the traditional box, and doing so in a collaborative environment where transparency is the most significant asset. If you have questions about open source or OpenStack private cloud adoption within your organization, then this discussion will help with some of those understandings. Often times, enterprises struggle with the idea of using open source and OpenStack without sacrificing intellectual property. Often times, cultural and organizational changes are needed to be able to play in the open source world.

What can I expect to learn?

The speakers in this presentation will discuss practical tips on how to change an organization’s mindset towards embracing OpenStack, open source and inclusiveness, what the benefits of using open source are, why it's important for companies to shift their mindset, and the support needed to get it done. A diverse set of speakers from Comcast will offer advice on how to successfully embrace a culture of inclusiveness, and creativity in conjunction with collaboration with the OpenStack community, while maintaining organizational autonomy. It's wonderful to know that businesses have finally seen the value in the open-source software development model. Essentially, the reason why open source has thrived and produced unbelievable inventions in technology is the culture it brings to the table, and we’d love to share our story with you.
