Gluon Project within OpenStack

New paradigm of NFV-ready networking has driven a new project Gluon in OpenStack over the past 9 months. The business objectives of Gluon in OpenStack are to include quick development and deployment of new NFV Networking Services on-demand as well as to connect multiple interoperable SDN Controllers at the backend. In addition, Gluon works together within Neutron’s context so that users will be able to use both Neutron services and NFV services provided by other controllers. This panel will discuss the new use case and paradigm of NFV-ready networking, review current status of Gluon work, and talk about the challenges, solutions and upcoming work items in Gluon’s evolution in OpenStack.
