You Have Hundreds of Clouds Deployed. Now What, Genius?

You have hundreds of clouds deployed or in various states of being deployed, now what?  This is a conundrum AT&T has been wrestling with for the last couple of years, a challenge which produced enough heroic tales to fill a legendary tome of engineering.  In this talk, we will focus on the problems of designing, deploying and operating a continuously growing number of Openstack clouds and our approach to "automate the hell out of it".

What can I expect to learn?

Understanding of AT&T's experience and approach to automating at massive scale.  You will learn how we automate everything from intial design to the baremetal nitty gritty deployment, plus automation for tenant management.  Learn from our trials and tribulations and how we went from a few data center deployments to clouds everywhere.  Or you can see how far you get doing it all manually.

Wednesday, May 10, 3:30pm-3:40pm (7:30pm - 7:40pm UTC)
