Saving One Cloud at a Time with Tenant Care

Because many of the early OpenStack deployments focused on proof of concept scenarios and use cases, they mostly provided capacity to early adopter end users.  As a result, the focus on user experience, or “tenant care”, has been lacking, and is a common barrier to broader end user adoption.

Without a tenant care strategy, end users commonly struggle to get regular communications regarding cloud availability or features, proactive support, recommendations on how to best utilize the capacity and features of the cloud, and overall guidance on how to optimize their experience on a private cloud.  Consequently, a lack of tenant care impedes the long-term success of a private cloud strategy.

In this talk, we’ll explain what quality tenant care is and why it's necessary.  We'll also summarize common obstacles to a successful user experience, as well as strategies and solutions that can solve these problems.

What can I expect to learn?

Attendees will learn about:

  • What kind of tenant care private clouds must provide to be successful
  • What to watch out for when crafting a tenant care strategy
  • Successful strategies they can take back to their own organizations
