Real Time KVM and How It Works

With the majority of network functions running on OpenStack today, why do we not see more and more radio access network solutions in the space.  Real time is one of the main reasons and with RT-KVM we are addressing the need for synchronous communications and other features which rely on guaranteed delay below 10us.

In this session we will show how it's deployed with both hardware and software features as well as example workloads.

There are also some cases where RT-KVM should not be used and this will be covered as well.

What can I expect to learn?

The attendee will leave this session with an understand how to deploy openstack with RT-KVM and the use case or example workload which uses it today.
