Jonathan Donaldson
VP Data Center Group, Intel

Jonathan H. Donaldson is vice president in the Data Center Group and general manager of the Software Defined Infrastructure Group at Intel Corporation. He leads the team responsible for defining and carrying out Intel’s strategy for private, hybrid and public cloud automation. 

Donaldson joined Intel in 2013 from VCE, a joint venture formed in 2009 by Cisco Systems, EMC Corporation, Intel and VMWare. As senior director of engineering for VCE, he led a team focused on defining and developing requirements for the VBlock converged infrastructure platform, software-defined data centers, networks and storage. A founding member of VCE, Donaldson had been director of service provider solutions engineering at EMC before the joint venture was created. Earlier in his career, he spent two years at NetApp and started the company’s infrastructure solutions organization. Donaldson also worked at Cisco for more than a decade, holding various leadership and technical roles that encompassed enterprise solution engineering, internal startups, field sales, federal programs, marketing and emerging technologies. 

Donaldson received his education at Ohio State University, where he focused on communications and computer information science.
