Guido Appenzeller is a pioneer in the software-defined networking and network virtualization space. He was one of the creators of OpenFlow during his time at Stanford, he was a co-founder at Big Switch Networks, and now serves as the Chief Technical Strategy Officer for VMware's Network & Security Business Unit.
