Kate Keahey
Scientist

Kate Keahey is one of the pioneers of infrastructure cloud computing. She created and leads the development of the Nimbus project, recognized as one of the first open source Infrastructure-as-a-Service implementations, and engages in many application projects popularizing the use of the cloud computing in science. She currently leads the Chameleon project, a distributed experimental testbed for cloud computing research. Kate is a Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory and a Senior Fellow at the Computation Institute at the University of Chicago.
