Barak Perlman
Network Architect

Barak Perlman is a network architect with extensive knowledge in networking, cloud and virtualization technologies.  He has more than 20 years of experience in networking and telecom. He held key technical positions roles leading both teams of architects and development teams.

Barak is currently a senior architect at HPE/ConteXtream and his responsibilities include defining and driving SDN and NFV solutions for carriers and MSOs. He spent the last year focusing on SD-WAN and vE-CPE. Before that Barak was a Director of System Architecture at PMC Sierra, where he led the system definitions for next generation PON, NPUs and Ethernet solutions. He has in been involved in the development of software, open-source, optics, ASICs, FPGAs and full systems.

Barak has been active in various standard organizations and open source organizations. He is now participating in ETSI NFV, mainly working on SDN-NFV and in OpenDayLight. Prior to that he participated and made contributions to ITU-T, IEEE, FSAN and BBF.

Barak has BSc and MSc (Cum Laude) degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
