Sujata Banerjee
Director and Distinguished Technologist

Sujata Banerjee is a distinguished technologist and director of the Networking Systems Research group in Hewlett Packard Labs. She earned a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in India. Her research has spanned network measurement, quality of service, and network energy efficiency. Prior to joining HP, she was an Associate Professor of Telecommunications at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a recepient of the National Science Foundation CAREER award in Networking Research and two best paper awards. She served as the general chair of the ACM MobiSys 2010 conference, technical co-chair of IEEE SECON 2008, was an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Reliability, and is on the technical program committee of several conferences and workshops. She is currently serving on the corporate advisory board of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.  She has 25 granted US patents.
