OpenStack and the IoT: Where We Stand, Where We're Going, What We Need to Get There

The Internet of Things (IoT), with its multitude of devices making calls to applications, is a perfect use case for the scalable, adaptable environment that is OpenStack. But that doesn't mean that we're ready -- not by a long shot. In this panel, a group of application developers, network engineers, and security experts will look at what OpenStack can already accomplish, and what needs to happen in order for OpenStack to fulfill its potential.

What can I expect to learn?

Attendees will leave this session with a better understanding of the capabilities of OpenStack when it comes to IoT applications, how to mitigate issues in places where it may still be lacking, and what can be done to ensure that OpenStack can become the premiere platform for development of these applications.
