Samuel is an automation developer currently focusing on the Chef automation framework.

He started working with OpenStack around the Grizzly release, initially as an operator. He is one of founding members of the Chef OpenStack project. Since then, he has served as PTL for five cycles.

He is also maintainer of various automation projects within the Chef ecosystem, as well as a member of the Sous Chefs organization, a group focused on the long-term maintenance of critical pieces of automation within the Chef ecosystem.
