We are taking several enterprise customers through a cloud journey in transforming to software defined data centers that run OpenStack. As we embark on these journeys, there is common paradigm of considerations that typically have to be dealt with for OpenStack private clouds:

Automation considerations for deployment – including bare-metal provisioning, infrastructure as code
Integration considerations with existing IT service management (ITSM) toolset – including integrating OpenStack clouds with enterprise grade asset management, configuration management, operations monitoring, ticketing systems
Application & Platform as a Service(PaaS) considerations – including migrating traditional applications to cloud native architectures, automating recovery

As part of this session we will share some of battle scars in deploying OpenStack private clouds. This session will be co-presented by DXC and American Airlines.
