Migrating hyperscale enterprise from legacy (and inevitably bespoke) infrastructure to OpenStack is a daunting and seemingly impossible task.
In this talk we'll discuss the technical solutions we leveraged to make this a reality.
More importantly we'll focus on the soft skills: how we worked with the business to demonstrate the power of OpenStack and ultimately influence our application developers, service engineers, and architects to embrace the move. We have now have millions of cores managed by OpenStack with only a minority of resources that still need to make the jump. We can do it, and you can too.
Attendees should expect to learn techniques for deconstructing the sisyphean effort to move hyperscale to OpenStack, and understand how they can expect to make this a reality in their environment.
