Kailun Qin is a Software Engineer of the Networking & Storage team at the Open Source Technology Center (OTC), Intel. Kailun joined Intel Data Center Group (DCG) in 2017 as a college graduate and worked on driving feature readiness and enhancement for Intel Xeon and Xeon Phi server platforms, with a focus on Reliability Availability & Serviceability (RAS), OS & Virtualization and UEFI firmware development. Since 2018 Kailun has been working on cloud and edge networking related open source technologies such as OpenStack, StarlingX, Akraino, ONAP, OPNFV, Kubernetes, Kata Containers etc. He is also a committer of ONAP VNFSDK project.
Kailun holds two Master's degrees from IMT Atlantique - École nationale supérieure Mines-Télécom Atlantique Bretagne Pays de la Loire (France) and Nanjing University of Science & Technology (China). Prior to joining Intel, he had about 1.5 years full-time internship experience developing Linux & OS networking software at STMicroelectronics (France) and MCU core software at NXP Semiconductors respectively.
