DOCOMO Cloud Platform (DCP) has grown by accommodation of our commercial large-scale operation support system and other users to over 100,000 cores.

After the DCP expansion got on track, we began to expand coverage for GPU, reference model for system design based on OSS.

Cost control is an important theme in terms of development and operation, so we are aggressively promoting resource efficiency. As a result, we operate our cloud at half the TCO of AWS comparing on the same instance.

Furthermore, towards 2020, as a 5G technology test site utilizing high-speed, high-capacity, and low-latency communications which are feature of the 5th generation mobile communication system, we began offering "DOCOMO 5G Open Cloud" based on DCP directly connected to 5G system for partner companies. In this session, we will share the expansion of DCP, knowledges in operation, and the most recent advanced initiatives related to 5G mobile communications.
