Comparison between Open Edge Projects (Akraino/StarlingX/OpenCord/vCO) modules v.s. ETSI MEC RA

Akraino, StarlingX and OpenCord are several fresh open source projects related to edge computing. At the same time, there is a reference architecture from ETSI which defined the necessary ME modules should be included.

In this presentation, we will look into Akraino, StarlingX and OpenCord detailed architecture, to compare them with ETSI MEC RA and figure out what are the differences. Meanwhile we find out there are several extra modules provided by Akraino/StarlingX/OpenCord and also some missed modules as well. Shall we fill those gaps or keep those features? In this talking, we will discuss the necessity with a real edge computing practice pilot.

What can I expect to learn?

The difference between open projects(Akraino/StarlingX/OpenCord) and ETSI MEC RA, and what we should do in a real Edge pilot.
