Travel Support Information
The Travel Support Program's aim is to facilitate participation of key contributors to the OpenDev + PTG by covering the costs for their travel and accommodation. The OpenStack Foundation (OSF) sets aside a fund to support this program. The total amount of the fund is to be divided among the approved key contributors. View more information about the selection process here.
If you are a key contributor to a project managed by the OSF and your company does not cover the costs of your travel and accommodation to Vancouver, you can apply for the Travel Support Program.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: April 8, 2020
Approved grantees will be notified the week of April 21, 2020 If you have any questions about the Travel Support Program, please email [email protected].
Visa Information
If you are attending the OpenDev and/or the Project Teams Gathering in Vancouver, from June 8 - 11, 2020, and require a visa invitation letter from the OpenStack Foundation to apply for a visa, please fill out this form.
If you’re unsure if you require an invitation letter, find out what type of visa you require to travel to Canada.
Please note that all citizens from countries other than the United States (U.S.) who do not need a visa to enter Canada will need to obtain an eTA before flying to Canada.
We recommend applying as early as possible. As a general planning guideline, if a visa is needed, a foreign traveler should apply for their visa as soon as possible, preferably no later than 60 days before the travel date.
Requests for invitation letters must be received before May 27, 2020.
We will send your visa invitation letter to the email you provide on this form. No hard copies will be sent.
Visa inviletters will be issued within a 5 business day turnaround timeframe. Please do not follow up before then. If you have questions please email [email protected].
