Intel implemented its first private cloud in 2010. To build on that success, Intel looked to open source products to utilize in the creation of their hybrid cloud. They selected OpenStack to help improve delivery of its services by splitting capacity and availability over a private and public cloud. “For us, the new Intel IT OpenCloud environment with OpenStack has reduced the amount of time it takes to provision services and automatically resolve issues. We have been able to deploy a VM in just 5 to 10 minutes, provide faster self services to our customers, and offer a rich set of consumable services that are the foundation for our cutting edge SW developers."
