OpenStack is open source software for building public and private clouds. It delivers a stable core of compute, storage and networking services to foster an ecosystem of innovation. OpenStack is mostly used as a IAAS (Infrastructure as a Service). Users either manage it through a web-based dashboard, through command-line tools, or through a RESTful API. Larger enterprises are today complementing their existing legacy infrastructure with OpenStack as such building new services on top of it. OP5 will bring the value to enable control, metrics and statistics of all included and underlying infrastructure and applications. The traditional challenge of understanding where and what a problem resides is an even bigger challenge as services are being integrated.
