Contributions To OpenStack From Violin Memory

As a participating vendor, Violin Memory is delivering full OpenStack Cinder block storage support for its FSP 7300 and 7700 storage arrays.  Our OpenStack team has already delivered software integration for previous releases such as Icehouse and Juno. Also, we have begun contributing the associated Cinder drivers back to the community and have open-sourced our python REST API library.  We plan to extend this effort in the future through continued community involvement, development, and testing.

Products & Services

Violin Memory offerings include Cinder drivers for its FSP 7300 and 7700 all-flash storage array products, for iSCSI and Fibre channel protocols.   Certified drivers and REST libraries are available through Violin's support site at for previous OpenStack releases, and will be available as part of the community version of Cinder in upcoming OpenStack releases.
