Bio

Armen Aghasaryan is a researcher at Bell Labs, his main background is in the area of network management where he elaborated new techniques for distributed fault management and alarm correlation. He spent also several years on the development of privacy-preserving technologies and recommender systems. Since two years Armen has been working on the design and development of an OpenStack-based experimental platform for experimenting a complete chain of fault managment functions: multi-layer monitoring, anomaly detection, alarm generation, alarm correlation, fault diagnosis, and automatic recovery. Curently, Armen leads a research activity on root cause analysis for distributed applications running in cloud environments.
