Elastically Scalable Big Data Platforms on OpenStack
Chris is a Principal Engineer at Comcast, where he is responsible for architecture and implementation of scalable big data platforms on public and private cloud infrastructure including OpenStack and AWS.
Most recently his work has been focused on metrics instrumentation for big data platforms for performance engineering, operational visibility, and alerting.
Previously he has worked on architecting cloud infrastructure that is application aware by understanding the diverse demands that high performance systems such as Kafka and Hadoop place on the cloud, exploring different solutions to address these requirements, and deploying and operating Hadoop clusters at scale on OpenStack and AWS.
