OpenStack Nova, VM scheduling and cluster scheduling
Yue Lu has a Ph.D. in computer science from Mälardalen University (MDH, Västerås, SE), majored in real-time embedded systems (when connected are referred to as IoT) and performance analysis using data analytics. As a two-year research scientist at Ericsson Research (Stockholm, SE) and an adjunct senior lecturer at MDH, his domain skills and work experiences lie in: 1) solution architect in PaaS and data centers (e.g. resource management and scheduling, cluster management solutions to DC/Hybrid Cloud OS) and, 2) reliable virtual machine scheduling in IaaS and, 3) hands-on experiences in Apache Spark, Docker container and Apcera Continuum and, 4) optimization using evolutionary algorithms and, 5) performance analysis of distributed and dependent cloud services and root cause analysis and, 6) architecture-based requirements modeling and validation. Lou also has a genuine interest in driving and developing business of PaaS-, data center-, IaaS-based solutions in smart grid, eHealth, industrial automation, and connected cars and heavy vehicle industries via his professional network.
During Lou's Ph.D. work in SE, he has given 30+ presentations at various IEEE/ACM conferences as well as some onsite presentations at companies, such as Volvo Group Truck Technology (SE), ABB (SE), Jaspersoft (SE) and Ericsson. Unfortunately, none of such presentations is available online.
