Bryan has the luxury of supporting the pre-sales architects at Cisco whom are responsible for evangelizing, selling & supporting Cisco OpenStack Private cloud in all their endeavours. As such, he's let himself get suckered into co-presenting a number of times with said architects at this event.
He has been working with and around SDN technologies since their infancy when he briefly left Cisco to join Nicira as the first Sales Engineer supporting their early adopters, back around the Cactus release of OpenStack. Ever since, Bryan has kept a watchful eye on the evolution of all things "SDN" and their applicability to solving problems (or creating them) in customer environments as it relates to "the network as the barrier to cloud."
