Josh Barry is part of the ViaSat Cloud Team. He is responsible for working with development and operations teams to enable next gen products and services that run on a hybrid infrastructure and platform. OpenStack is a significant part of the strategic platform. For example, the internet service ViaSat provides to airlines interacts directly with OpenStack.
Josh previously worked at HP where he helped bring the Cloud DNS (Designate) and Database Service (Trove) to market in both the HP Helion Public Cloud and the Helion Platform Distribution. He also was a Director of Product Management for the HP Helion Development Platform, a Cloud Foundry based PaaS distribution. Prior to HP, Josh worked at Boeing in many departments including Commercial Aviation Services, IT, and Engineering.
